Persons staying together with a guest who has concluded an agreement with the accommodation provider are likewise considered guests.
1. Formation of the contractual relationship and documents
- Upon request by the accommodation provider, the guest is obliged to present a valid ID card or passport for the purpose of registration in the guest register, in accordance with applicable legal regulations.
- A foreign guest is obliged, upon request, to present a travel document or, where applicable, a residence permit, and to complete and sign the registration form pursuant to Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on the Residence of Foreign Nationals in the Czech Republic.
- A guest who refuses to present proof of identity may be refused accommodation, without prejudice to any other obligations owed to the accommodation provider.
- Personal data provided by the guest is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Further information is available from the guest at reception or upon request.
2. Age restriction for guests
Podhlavický mlýn is designed as an adults-only hotel for guests aged 14 and up, in order to preserve the calm, relaxing atmosphere of the stay. Accommodation with younger children is possible only exceptionally, by prior individual arrangement, subject to current availability and the nature of the booking.
3. Arrival and departure
- Accommodation on the day of arrival is available from 3:00 PM, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
- The guest is obliged to vacate the room no later than 12:00 PM on the last day of the stay, unless otherwise agreed. If the guest fails to do so, the accommodation provider is entitled to charge for an additional day.
- An earlier arrival or later departure can be arranged individually with reception in advance.
- If the guest requests an extension of the stay, the accommodation provider may offer the guest a room other than the one originally occupied.
4. Dining
- Breakfast is included in the accommodation price and is prepared every morning for resident guests.
- A place for dinner at the PM89 restaurant is automatically reserved for resident guests; the guest arranges the preferred time after arrival.
- Dinner is served as an à la carte menu or the current seasonal offer; every Friday from May to September it takes place in the barn, with food prepared over an open fire.
- In the case of allergies, intolerances or special dietary requirements, please inform us well in advance.
5. Countryside SPA and wellbeing
- Access to the Countryside SPA is included in the price of the stay and may be used by resident guests during the day.
- The SPA includes a Finnish sauna, an aroma sauna, an infrared sauna, a relaxation zone, and, in the warmer part of the year, an outdoor Sun Deck.
- In the evening hours, the SPA can be booked privately; we recommend booking in advance.
- We recommend arranging massages and relaxing treatments before arrival.
- Each guest is personally responsible for behaving safely and considerately within the SPA premises.
6. Pets
- Accommodation with a dog is possible by prior arrangement; the most suitable space is the Vejminek with a separate entrance.
- The presence of a dog must be reported already at the time of booking.
- The pet's owner is liable for any damage caused by the pet and is obliged to comply with the hotel's hygiene rules.
- For safety reasons, animals may not be left unattended in the shared areas of the premises.
7. Parking and transport
- An outdoor car park on the mill grounds is available to resident guests.
- An EV charging station is available on the premises.
- By prior arrangement, we provide an individual transfer from the airport, train station or another location.
- A bike storage room with charging and rinsing facilities is available.
8. Guest conduct, peace and safety
- The guest is obliged to behave in such a way as not to unreasonably harm the freedom, life, health or property of other persons, and not to disturb the peace and comfort of other guests or the surroundings of the mill.
- During night hours, we ask that guests observe quiet hours so that the hotel's relaxing atmosphere is preserved.
- Smoking is prohibited throughout the entire building and adjoining premises, except in designated outdoor areas.
- The guest may not bring weapons, ammunition, explosives or narcotic or psychotropic substances onto the premises, and may not handle open flame outside designated areas.
- Neither in the room nor in shared areas is it permitted to move furniture, carry out repairs, or otherwise interfere with the electrical network or installations, without the accommodation provider's prior consent.
- The guest is obliged to keep the room tidy and clean and, when leaving the room, to close the windows, shut off the water taps and properly lock the room.
- Given the proximity of water features (the mill race, the mill wheel, the biotope), we ask for increased caution when moving around their vicinity.
9. Liability for damage and valuables
- The guest is fully liable for damage caused to the accommodation provider's property in accordance with applicable legal regulations and is obliged to report any such damage to the accommodation provider without delay.
- The accommodation provider is liable for damage to items brought in by the guest in accordance with Section 2946 et seq. of the Civil Code. We recommend depositing valuables (jewellery, money, securities, electronics, etc.) at the place designated for this purpose at reception.
- The accommodation provider is not liable for damage to items brought in by the guest outside the areas designated for this purpose.
- A guest using their own electrical devices (other than common personal hygiene appliances and chargers) is liable for any damage they cause; devices must be free of technical defects and bear a CE mark. The use of heat-generating appliances (hot plates, electric kettles, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
10. Medical care
In the event of a guest's illness or injury, the accommodation provider will arrange for the necessary first aid or, if required, arrange transport for medical treatment. Any costs incurred are borne by the guest.
11. Experiences and special occasions
- We're happy to arrange experience programmes in the area around the mill (fishing, mushroom foraging, exploring the forest with a gamekeeper) as well as other activities in the Podještědí region — we recommend arranging these in advance.
- If you are celebrating an anniversary or another special occasion, let us know in advance — we're happy to prepare a personal surprise for you.
12. Termination of the stay by the accommodation provider
If the guest materially breaches the obligations set out in these house rules, the accommodation provider is entitled to terminate the accommodation agreement with immediate effect. In such a case, the guest is obliged to pay for the services already provided and to leave the mill premises without delay.
13. Final provisions
- These house rules are available at reception and are binding for all guests of Podhlavický mlýn.
- By staying at Podhlavický mlýn, the guest confirms that they have familiarised themselves with these house rules and agree to comply with them.
- Matters not expressly governed by these rules are subject to the relevant provisions of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, as amended.
